On paying attention
We read to meet ideas we would not have had on our own, and now and then a question we did not know to ask. One page can take you a long way from where you started.
Understanding usually starts when we slow down. We stop at a word, notice how two ideas connect, or go back to a sentence that changes how the rest of the page reads.
A good reading tool leaves room for questions and keeps a way back to the words that raised them.

Check that the text hasn't changed.
When a text is published, its fingerprint is recorded with a Bitcoin timestamp. If the text still gives the same fingerprint, it hasn't changed since. A match tells you nothing about whether what it says is true.
